The Kalamazoo Industries BG448 4- by 48-in. industrial abrasive belt grinder has a 3-HP motor with a 7,200-SFPM speed for fast metal removal with minimal heat.
The machine comes with a 4- by 8-in. 70-durometer serrated contact wheel, but other contact wheels are available. It features a multiposition grinding head from vertical to horizontal, a reversible and removable 4- by 10-in. steel platen, 4- by 10-in. work surface, a quick-belt-change mechanism, and an adjustable 8- by 8-in. cast-iron worktable with a 5/8-in. slot.
